Western hognose - Heterodon nasicus nasicus

Albino Western hognose - Heterodon nasicus nasicus

Western hognose care sheet

Western hognose is not only a beautiful, fun and interesting snake to keep and breed, it is also a very active snake to look at in you're terrarium. The hognose has from the very beginning been one of our favorite snakes to work with. They are active fun snakes to keep, always curious, but with a ferocious feeding response. With there "light" venom they have been known to course local swelling. In the 4 years we have been working with them, they have never ones tried to bite.

In the later years we have established a nice collection of normal hognoses, but also albino's. The albino project have been going on for some years now, and 2007 should be the first year we produce them. We are hoping to bring in more Hognose morphs soon.
